Like most people, one of my most precious commodities is time. I don't have a lot of spare time. This forces me to limit any outside engagements I might undertake and to charge a lot for those services.
My standard hourly rate for BlackBerry consulting is US$100 per hour, plus expenses. I don't want to travel and I don't want long-term (i.e. permanent, multi-month) gigs. If I've never dealt with you before I'll need half the money up front, too. I can do programming, but I prefer to do architecture, design and education — you'll want to learn as much as you can from me as you can.
